Fattest baby taken away from mum by charity workers

The fattest baby, weighing 3.1 stone (19.7 kg) at the tender age of eight months is currently undergoing life-saving treatment after he was taken away from his mother in Colombia.

Santiago Mendoza weighs the same as a normal six-year-old because his mother fed him food and milk every time he cried so as to calm him down, reports Daily Mail.

But she obvisouly realised that what she was doing was not helping her child and hence she approached a charity organisation (Gorditos de Corazon) for help, who stepped in and flew the boy to Bogota (Colobian capital) to enable him to lose fat and undergo treatment.

The baby is already at risk of suffering from diabetes, high BP and joint-related diseases in future.

Santiago's mom is extremely hopeful that her child has reached the right place and will receive the correct treatment and reduce to a normal size.
